Enjoy the 2022 Sunflower Festival at NH’s Coppal House Farm Through This Weekend
This weekend's your last chance to visit Coppal House Farm in Lee, New Hampshire, to enjoy sunflowers, vendors, live music, and more at their 7th Annual Sunflower Festival.
During your visit to the farm, you'll be able to admire and take pictures of and with these gorgeous oilseed sunflowers. What makes these flowers different from regular sunflowers? Well, the festival's website says that the seeds are eventually pressed into culinary oil, and the flowers themselves have a shorter lifespan (~12 days) compared to your average sunflower (~three weeks).
Sunflowers aren't the only thing that visitors to Coppal House Farm can enjoy this weekend. There's also an artisan craft fair, where 35 vendors will be selling homemade goods. You'll additionally hear live music courtesy of local bands, and when you get hungry, local food vendors like Flag Hill Distillery & Winery, El Camino, Memories Ice Cream, and The Eclectic Clam will be there to satisfy your appetite. There's also a Children's Story Time & Craft event happening from 11am-3pm on both Saturday and Sunday.
Sounds like a great way to spend a summer afternoon, right? And it's all for a good cause, as the website says that a percent of the proceeds are donated to charity. This year's organizations are McGregor Memorial Ambulance, HAVEN, St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry, Lee Church Community Assistance, and Vouchers for Veterans. There's also an annual Make-A-Wish raffle, where the proceeds go to Make-A-Wish NH.
