This New Hampshire Movie Theater Is Renting Out Space For Private Showings

Let me take a minute to state the extremely obvious. The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has put a damper on many pleasures we used to have in life, and a big one is enjoying live music.
Another is going to the movies.
I suppose they could seat people socially distanced, but who wants to sit and watch a movie with a mask on the entire time? How would we eat popcorn or Sour Patch Kids?
O'Neil Cinemas on Calef Highway in Epping have been doing something pretty awesome — and COVID-19 friendly.

According to their Facebook, you can rent an entire theater for a private showing with your friends. All the rental durations are for 2 1/2 hours and you can invite up to 25 people for $150. ($6 for each addition person).
I am here for this! What an awesome way to support a local business while still following coronavirus guidelines.
However, I do have a few questions. If all my guests are over 21, can we bring cocktails? (I think I know the answer, but it never hurts to ask). Also, is there an option to hook up a gaming console and play video games for your allotted 2 1/2 hours? I know someone who would be all over that.
I would feel so fancy if me and my friends had an entire theater to ourselves. I would make everyone dress up and pretend it was a red carpet event! What movie would you want to privately screen with your friends? I couldn't pick just one so here are my top eight choices:
- Titanic (except this is longer than the allotted 2.5 hours so maybe just the first half? We all know how it ends anyway)
- Clueless
- Mean Girls
- Sex and the City (the first movie. Duh)
- Pitch Perfect 1
- The Notebook
- Billy Madison
- Scream
