An Exeter man faces charges of possession and distribution of child sexual abuse images.

Exeter Police Chief Stephan R. Poulin said the arrest Monday of Ricardo Tejada, 30, was the culmination of a "lengthy multi-jurisdictional investigation" that led to Exeter. His home was searched in November and a number of items considered evidence were removed.

Tejada was charged with five counts of possessing and distributing child sexual abuse images, and is being held at the Rockingham County Jail. He is scheduled to appear in Brentwood Circuit Court Tuesday.

The investigation into Tejada is ongoing with the Rockingham County Attorney’s Office, and additional charges could be coming.

Poulin asked anyone with information about Tejada to call Exeter Police at 603-772-1212 or Seacoast Crime Stoppers by calling 603-431-1199.
