Exeter, New Hampshire, School Bus Carrying Students Hits Tree
A school bus carrying students home on Monday afternoon hit a tree in Exeter.
Exeter Police said the bus operated by First Student, carrying 13 students, also hit a mailbox on Linden Street around 2:40 p.m. and sustained serious damage on the front right side. The students, age 11-14, were all off the bus when police arrived, having exited out the rear door of the bus as the main door was damaged and would not open.
Two students were checked over after suffering minor head pain. The bus driver was treated for a hand injury, according to police. A second bus was sent to pick up students.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by police.
