A fire at a home on Presidential Circle in Hampton Tuesday morning was the town's eighth structure fire since February, according to acting fire chief Michael McMahon.

Flames broke out before 10:50 a.m. on the rear deck of the two-story house and quickly spread to a rear wall and the roof over the garage, according to McMahon, who said three adult residents were displaced along with an adult daughter home for a visit. No firefighters were injured.

McMahon estimated the damage to the house to be between $75,000 and $100,000.

The cause of the fire remained under investigation but McMahon said it appears to be accidental.
