Portsmouth Police released the fifth edition of their office trading cards, complete with a "mystery officer" whose card could win you a VIP prize package.

Most officers have a card which can be had by asking for the card. The front of the card features the officer's picture with a message and biography on the back. This year's collection includes 28 new photos and cards for new members of the department.

Cards can also be obtained by writing a letter or email to an officer.

One officer has been designated the "mystery officer" whose card has a star on it. The person who receives that card wins a VIP prize, which includes the entire set of cards, a display case, a ride in a police car, and a tour of the police station. The contest is geared towards Portsmouth children age 6-12, but is open to anyone.

The last day of the contest is Saturday, December 31.

Officer cards were brought back to active duty by Detective Rochelle Jones, the department's community outreach coordinator, in 2016.
