Guns, Drugs Found During Portsmouth, New Hampshire, Domestic Violence Call

A domestic violence call let to a drug arrest for Portsmouth Police Monday.

During their investigation of the incident on Cutts Avenue that led to the arrest of Isreal Collazo, 28, of Portsmouth, police learned he may have had a firearm and was possibly selling drugs in his residence. Collazo is not allowed to possess a firearm due to his criminal record.

Collazo was arrested after coming out of the house with another male, who was released.

After obtaining a search warrant, police said they found a Smith & Wesson handgun with two magazines, $4,609 in cash, over 90 gms of cocaine & fentanyl with an estimated street value of $1,000, and marijuana valied at $400. Police also located packaging materials, including small plastic bags and a scale.

Collazo faces four counts of domestic violence including simple assault, criminal threatening, false imprisonment, and second-degree assault. He also faces two counts of default or breach of bail conditions, violation of protective order, felon in possession of a dangerous weapon, possession of controlled/narcotic drugs, and possession of controlled drugs with intent to distribute.

He was arraigned in Rockingham Superior Court.
