Littleworth Road in Dover Closed Monday After Car Overturned

Police rerouted traffic Monday morning after a single-car crash destroyed a utility pole on Littleworth Road in Dover.

Early in the morning, a car overturned in the crash, but neither the driver nor the passenger were injured in the accident, Sgt. Nathan Goard of the Dover Police Department said.

Traffic on Littleworth Road was detoured through Industrial Park Drive while Eversource utility crews replaced the pole, Dover police posted to Facebook.

The road was announced back open for traffic around 3 p.m., according to a Facebook post from the City of Dover.

The road was reduced to one lane while the crews hung the powerlines from the new pole and no customers lost power as a result of the crash, an Eversource spokesman said in an email.

Officer Brian Gore is investigating the crash.
