Your quick evening trip on Intestate 95 around Portsmouth could be slowed as overhead sign work starts on Interstate 95 Sunday night.

The work takes place Sunday through Thursday 7 p.m. - 5 a.m. in both directions and will last six weeks through the end of July in the Portsmouth area, according to the New Hampshire Department of Transportation.

Portsmouth exits on Interstate 95 include:

  • Exits 3 (Route 33)
  • Exit 3B (southbound for the Pease Tradeport)
  • Exit 4 (Spaulding Turnpike)
  • Exit 5 (Route 1 Bypass)
  • Exit 6 (Woodbury Avenue)
  • Exit 7 (Market Street)

No specific lane closures or directions were disclosed by the NHDOT. Message boards will be posted alerting drivers to specific work areas.

The work caused delays in 2022 for drivers.
