Maine Man Steals Vehicle, Abandons Off Route 95

A car thief who abandoned a stolen car was found in the woods off Route 95 Thursday morning.

Hampton Falls police were notified of the theft around 6 a.m., and were able to locate the vehicle a short time later on the northbound side of the highway. A State Police K-9 unit helped locate Anthony Bizzocchi, 42, of Eliot, hiding in a wooded area.

Bizzocchi faces multiple charges, including theft by unauthorized taking, receiving stolen property, taking without owners consent, criminal trespass, and breach of bail.

He refused bail and is being held at Rockingham County Jail pending his arraignment.
