Man Shot at Family Gathering in Dover, NH in Critical Condition
A domestic disturbance during a family gathering at a Dover home led to the shooting of a 35-year-old man.
According to Lt. Scott Pettingill of the Dover Police Department, the man was in critical condition at Boston Medical Center on Monday.
The man was shot multiple times, according to police officials.
Pettingill said they are not releasing the name of the victim at this point.
Police and first responders were called to the house on New Rochester Road around 3:40 p.m. on Sunday. The man was transported to Portsmouth Regional Hospital before being brought to Boston.
The family gathering was being held at 42 New Rochester Road. According to whitepages.com, the people who own the house are in their 50s.
A press release issued on Monday morning says all of the people involved in the incident have been identified and there is no threat to the public.
Pettingill said they are working with the Strafford County Attorney's Office to determine whether or not charges will be filed.
"It's kind of early to determine if we will or not," Pettingill said.
