A motorcyclist is dead after a collision with a sedan on Route 202  Tuesday night, the second crash in Rochester in the past week involving a motorcycle or bicycle.

Rochester Police said a Suzuki Katana motorcycle operated by Kevin O'Sullivan, 57, of Rochester, and a 2004 Nissan Altima driven by Dimitrios Agiasotelis, 70, of Rochester crashed on Route 202 near Staples around 4 p.m. O'Sullivan was taken to Portsmouth Regional Hospital where he later died.

Agiasotelis and his passenger were not injured in the crash.

The road was closed for three hours for an investigation. No charges have been filed.

It was the 17th fatal motorcycle crash in New Hampshire this year, according to the NH DMV.

A 17-year-old bicyclist was hospitalized Friday night when they were struck while crossing the intersection of Brock St and Columbus Avenue around 10:30 p.m.

Police asked any witnesses to the crash to call 603-330-7128 and reference case number 22-556-AC.
