A motorcyclist died in a crash Sunday morning in Dover, according to police.

A 44-year-old Dover woman heading west on Washington Street in Dover in a 2016 Toyota Prius making a left onto Chestnut Street in front of the post office  around 11:10 a.m. hit an eastbound 2010 Aprilia RSV4 motorcycle driven by Chester Yung, 44, of Dover, according to police, causing extensive damage to both vehicles.

Bystander administered first aid to Yung before emergency personnel arrived which took him to Wentworth-Douglass Hospital where he died. Yung was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, police said.

The intersection was closed for several hours for an investigation

No charges have been filed and the driver of the Prius was not identified.
