A driver was killed late Monday night when his car was hit by a tractor trailer on Route 95 in Greenland.

NH State Police said a sedan was parked with its lights on, possibly in the right lane, at mile maker 11 near Exit 3 when it was struck around 11:30 p.m..  The truck went off the highway and into a wooded area, knocking over a sign, according to a picture supplied by State Police.

The driver of the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity was withheld pending notification of family, and he was the only person in the car. The trucker, Milton Junior Anziani-Reyes, 25, of Leominster, Massachusetts, was not injured.

No changes have been filed. State Police do not suspect speed or alcohol as contributing factors.

Two lanes were closed for several hours for an investigation and cleanup of the crash scene.
