Patriots Isaiah Bolden Released From Hospital — UPDATE
The Patriots pre-season game with the Green Bay Packers was suspended Saturday night after rookie cornerback Isaiah Bolden collided with Calvin Munson.
In a statement Sunday morning, the team said Bolden was released from Aurora Bay Medical Center in Green Bay, and will travel with the team back to Foxborough.
"We thank the medical staff at Aurora Bay Medical Center for their overnight evaluations, as well as the Patriots and Packers medical staffs for their immediate on-field response and care in transporting Isaiah to a nearby hospital," read the statement.
The team did not disclose details about his injuries.
The team has canceled its joint practices with the Tennessee Titans Tuesday and Wednesday and will fly into Nashville Thursday for Friday's game.
Bolden also sent a message on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, expressing his thanks for support.
"Appreciate the prayers more excited to be back with the guys," Bolden said.
Bolden and Munson collided in the opening minutes of the fourth quarter of the game at Lambeau Field. After the hit, Bolden laid on the field and was tended to for a significant period of time before being placed on a stretcher and taken off the field.
Players from both teams left the sidelines and walked onto the field, with some players dropping to one knee together.
After Patriots head coach Bill Belichick and Packers coach Matt LaFleur and referees conferred, it was announced the game would be suspended. The Patriots were leading 21-17.
In a statement, the team said Bolden had feeling in all his extremities, but would remain hospitalized overnight in a Green Bay hospital.
Bolden was a seventh round pick from Jackson State in the 2023 NFL draft.
