Don't worry about getting buff post-pandemic, gentlemen.

Planet Fitness, one of the largest and fastest-growing fitness global franchises, announced on Wednesday new insights from a national survey conducted by Kelton Global which shows 70 percent of women say they are still attracted to men with a "Dad bod."

The same survey shows 69 percent of men with Dad bods are confident and comfortable with their physique, but half of the men with that body type feel judged by others.

Worse, 47 percent of men who don't have Dad bods think they would feel judged if they did have one.

Men do not need to perceive Dad bods that way.

According to a press release issued by the Planet Fitness media team, 59 percent of women would rather be with a man who has a Dad bod over a man who is really muscular.

Nearly half of the women surveyed - 48 percent - would go as far as saying Dad bods are the new six-pack, according to the press release.

Men with Dad bods are also perceived as being good husbands, supportive, caring and providers.

Planet Fitness has been tracking this trend since 2017.

Planet Fitness was founded in Dover, NH, in 1992, and is headquartered in Hampton, NH.
