Police: Man Who Said He’d “Pop” His Dad in Hampton, NH Arrested
A 33-year-old Belmont man was arrested on Wednesday after he allegedly threatened to "pop" his father and "end it all for good" while holding an airsoft rifle which appeared to be a real firearm.
Police were called to the area of Towle Farm Road and Merrill Industrial Drive in Hampton early Wednesday morning. It was reported that Joshua White had been at the location demanding to speak with his father.
When White was told to leave the property, he did so, but returned a short time after with what appeared to be a gun. That is when he made the alleged threats, according to a press release by police officials.
White was told to leave the area again, and he left in a vehicle.
Hampton police officers notified other police agencies to be on the lookout for White. Officers from Belmont found White and took him into custody.
White was charged with disorderly conduct, criminal trespass and criminal threatening.
White was held on preventative detention and will be arraigned at Hampton Circuit Court on Thursday.
