Police called to a Portsmouth apartment for a wellness check found the body of a deceased woman on Wednesday morning.

When officers arrived around 8:40 a.m. at the Feaster Apartments on Court Street they found a woman identified as Deborah Miller, 56, whose death appears the be the result of a drug overdose, according to Portsmouth police.

The cause and manner of the death will ultimately be determined by the Chief Medical Examiner.
