Unitil Crews are working to restore power to approximately 800 customers in Atkinson without power thanks to a fallen tree limb.

The utility's outage map at 12:40 p.m. placed the bulk of the outages originating in an area along Main Street responsible for nearly 500 outages  The map also showed a second area along Route 111 as causing another 269 outages.

Unitil spokesman Alec O'Mears told Seacoast Current a limb that fell on wires along Island Pond Road in Atkinson around 11:40 a.m. appears to be the culprit. Power was fully restored around 1:10 p.m.

It's at least the second large Seacoast region power outage of the weekend. Downed power lines in Dover along Route 108 on Saturday afternoon closed the roadway for several hours. Power was restored by Eversource by early Saturday evening.
