An SUV crashed through the front of a condo building on Ocean Boulevard in Hampton Beach early Saturday morning.

The SUV went through the first floor window to the left of the entrance of the Surfside Thirty apartments and condos on the southbound side around 1:40 a.m. and into the lobby, causing significant and structural damage to the building, according to Hampton Fire/Rescue.

Photos of the crash show the front window completely taken out by the crash, and cracks in the window right above.  There was also damage to the wall.

Several units were evacuated and their occupants relocated with assistance from Red Cross of Northern New England.

Hampton Police identified the driver of the SUV as Elijah Wilson, 22, of Spencer, Massachusetts. He was charged with aggravated driving under the influence, operating without a license, criminal mischief, and reckless operation.  Wilson's passenger was also charged.

First responders along with Hampton Deputy Fire Chief William Paine remained at the condo building until 6:40 a.m. while the SUV was removed and the damage evaluated.

The right lane in front of Ocean Boulevard in front of the building was closed, according to Hampton Police.
