The area of Spaulding Turnpike near Exit 9 in Dover was reduced in open lanes due to a motor vehicle crash.

The man allegedly crashed his Acura into another vehicle "multiple times" before fleeing the scene and eventually crashing into the center median guardrail.

Police said they noticed a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee on Friday that had no registration plates and no functioning taillights.

Police said good samaritans on scene had to lift the vehicle off of the elderly woman to free her from under a tire.
