A popular craft brewery based in North Hampton is debuting a new sour-beer series this weekend, and one of the creations is infused with habanero pepper.

How can habanero possibly be sour, you might ask? Just leave that to the folks at Throwback Brewery in North Hampton.

One of three new beers being launched by the brewery on Saturday is the habanero-infused concoction. Here's what Throwback Brewery had to say about it, via their Facebook page:

This hazy sour ale is made with peaches and lemon zest, plus lemon habaneros from our farm, giving this beer a very balanced, lingering, sweet heat.

But that's not all Throwback Brewery is putting out this weekend. The habanero-infused beer is just one of the "Party Pants" beers being released on Saturday. Two others will also be available for take-out, draft pours and growler fills.

The second new Party Pants offering is a "light and summery sour ale" made with pink guava and coconut, according to the Facebook post, and evokes "dreams of the tropics – even during the height of NH winters!"

The third is Throwback Brewery's take on a Zombie cocktail, made with passionfruit, key lime, orange peel and grenadine. Together, it creates a "bright, tart, and citrusy sour."

Throwback Brewery is located on a 12-acre farm on Hobbs Road just off Lafayette Road in North Hampton. They are open from 12-7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and from 12-6 p.m. on Sunday.
