Truck Rear-Ends Car on NH’s I-93, Bursts Into Flames

One person died after a truck rear ended a sedan on Route 93 in Derry early Wednesday evening.

New Hampshire State Police said the truck driven by Luciano Miguel Garone, 26, of Stallings, North Carolina, hit a Lexus ES350 in the southbound lanes near Exit 4 (Route 102) around 6:10 p.m. Multiple images and video from the scene show the front of the truck burst into flames. The driver of the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene.

The identity of the driver was not disclosed pending notification of family. Police also did not disclose the circumstances of the crash, including if the sedan was in a lane or on the shoulder.

The initial investigation and cleanup kept the highway partially closed until around 11 p.m. No charges have been filed in the crash.
