You really are hearing voices in the area of the Pease Air National Guard Base.

Around 1,000 members will be at the base as the 157th Air Refueling Wing conducts training exercises on Saturday and Sunday. During the exercises there will be will announcements over loud speakers along with emergency tones that could be heard. The tones will be both steady and broken.

Airmen will also be wearing protective gear.

"These measures are for the exercise only and are not cause for alarm," the Guard said.
