Where to Get COVID-19 Vaccine for Kids on the Seacoast
The CDC's approval of the Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine for children age 5-11 clears the way for it to be available immediately for Seacoast children.
Gov. Chris Sununu said that the federal government will fully rollout the vaccine on Monday but it could be available as soon as Wednesday.
28 million children age 5-11 are eligible to receive the shot which is just a third of the dosage given to adults and teens.
Earlier Sununu said several retailers would have the vaccine available for children including:
- CVS has appointments available on its website starting Wednesday for doses to first be administered on Sunday
- Rite Aid will have appointments available on its website starting Thursday for doses to first be administered on Saturday
- Walgreen has appointments available on its website starting Wednesday for doses to first be administered on Saturday
- Walmart and Sam's Club has appointments available on its website starting Wednesday to first be administered "later this week"
Osco and Hannaford did not disclose their plans on their respective websites.
