Which 2 New Hampshire Christmas Tree Shops Close for Good Sunday?
Two of New Hampshire's four Christmas Tree Shop locations will close permanently on Sunday.
The chain, which declared Chapter 11 bankruptcy and defaulted on a loan intended to help maintain normal business operations during the Chapter 11 process, has instead been liquidating the inventory of its 70 remaining stores.
The stores in Portsmouth and Nashua will shut their doors for good on Sunday, according to the company website. Everything in stock is 70-90%, with the promise of new merchandise arriving before the store closes forever at 7 p.m. Sunday night.
The Christmas Tree Shop store in Augusta is also closing Sunday.
The remaining two stores in Salem and North Conway have prices 30-70% off the regular price. Their website does not indicate a final day of business.
The chain warned of Facebook pages purporting to be the company's, which have popped up.
"Christmas Tree Shops does not sell online," warned the company.
