Woman Dies in Route 125 Crash After Safety Patrol
A Newmarket woman died in a three-car crash on Route 125 in Brentwood on Thursday.
Brentwood police said Danielle Doucette-Boyd, 52, was driving a Mustang northbound near Route 111A around 10 a.m. and drifted into the southbound lanes hitting a truck.
Doucette-Boyd then hit a Jeep head-on, according to police, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Jeep was taken to Portsmouth Regional Hospital with serious injuries, police said.
The crash comes less than a week after a special directed patrol on Route 125 targeting speeding impaired and distracted drivers.
Officers made a total of 294 motor vehicle stops and issued 64 citations and 240 warnings, according to State Police. Ten of the stops led to an arrest including one impaired driver who bolted from their stop. Officers used a tire deflation device to end a brief slow-speed pursuit.
