Tuesday's severe cold has closed down the state COVID-19 outdoor testing centers, including the Newington site at the Mall at Fox Run.

The high temperature on Tuesday will be just 10 degrees, but northwest winds gusting up to 15 and 20 mph will create a wind chill of -15. The testing sites are under large tents but will be closed "out of an abundance of caution for the health and safety of staff and patients."

The sites are expected to resume normal operations at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday at Newington as well as River Valley Community College in Claremont, JFK Colosseum in Manchester, and St. Joseph's Hospital in Nashua.

Testing is available at many indoor sites including pharmacies and healthcare facilities.

Free at home PCR tests are also available from the state via the DHHS website.
