The crash involving a sliver-colored sedan and a white pickup truck happened around 9:40 p.m., according to Kingston Police Lt. Joel T. Johnson. One of the drivers was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver was taken to Portsmouth Regional Hospital and is expected to recover.

Johnson did not disclose the identities of either driver or if either vehicle carried passengers. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
