Portsmouth and other Seacoast cities using the EasyPark device have started to phase out their use with service ending by the end of the year.

The city of Portsmouth said the devices that allow users to pay for parking using a transponder that stick to their dashboard will no longer be sold. Existing customers will be able to continue to use their devices in any participating city through  December 31, 2021. Any remaining balance must also be used by that time. No refunds will be issued.

EasyPark is also used in Dover and Durham. The city of Dover said New Hampshire municipalities are phasing out the use of EasyPark because of parking apps that don't require any device to use.

All accounts will be closed and no further service fees will be charged.

The ParkMobile smartphone app will continue to be available and offer users the same resident parking rate discount.

The city of Dover is using an app called Flowbird for parking.
