A barn, a boat, and two vehicles were damaged in a barn fire in East Kingston late Thursday night.

East Kingson Fire Chief Ed Warren said firefighters arrived at the fire on Rowell Road around 10:25 p.m., and struck a first alarm to bring in mutual aid firefighters.

The fire was contained to the barn, while the house suffered only melted siding. No injuries were reported for firefighters or residents.

“I want to thank all of our mutual aid partners,” Warren said in a statement. “The mutual aid system gives us all the resources we need, and it worked flawlessly tonight.”

Firefighters from Epping, Stratham, Greenland, Newton, South Hampton, Kingston, Danville, Fremont, as well as Amesbury and Merrimac, Massachusetts, provided mutual aid at the scene, and firefighters from Newfields covered East Kingston stations.

The fire comes as the U.S. Drought Monitor said the Seacoast region, including southeast New Hampshire, northern Massachusetts and coastal York County, are all "abnormally dry" thanks to dry conditions over the last 60 days, plus low groundwater and streamflow.
