A Portsmouth woman was arrested for allegedly striking a pair of parked cars while driving intoxicated late Monday night, police said.

Police said Shayna Derochemont, 39, of Portsmouth, collided with a utility pole at the intersection of Route 1 by-pass and Greenleaf Avenue around 11 p.m. before ultimately striking two parked cars in a dealership lot.

All three vehicles involved sustained heavy damage, police said, and Derochemont was transported to Portsmouth Regional Hospital for her injuries.

Derochemont was arrested at the hospital and charged with an aggravated account of driving while intoxicated, a Class-B felony. She is expected to be arraigned at Rockingham Superior Court.
