U.S. Navy boats, additional personnel, and extra noise around the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard on Tuesday are just part of a training exercise.

The shipyard's Naval Security Force will participate in the routine training starting at 8 a.m. in the area of the former Naval Prison and the Piscataqua River near the shipyard’s shoreline.

Security personnel, including U.S. Navy harbor patrol boats, will be responding to the training event.
