A Newington man was killed when his UTV rolled on top of him while riding Saturday night.

New Hampshire Fish & Game said Joshua Wyman, 28, was driving a utility task vehicle in a field along Fox Point Road in Newington around 9:10 p.m that went off the left side of a trail. The UTV rolled onto Wyman before coming to a final rest.

Several people at the scene were able to move the UTV off Wyman and offer help before first responders arrived, but he was pronounced dead at the scene because of his injuries, according to Fish & Game.

A passenger was taken to Portsmouth Regional Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

An investigation by Fish & Game is ongoing, but speed appears to have been a contributing factor to the crash.

Fish & Game said Wyman was not wearing a helmet or seat belt at the time.

Five people riding in a UTV in Hampton Falls on May 13 were injured when it hit a rock, throwing four of the passengers. Two of the passengers were riding in the UTV's open bed.
