Pickup Driver Goes Down Embankment From Spaulding Turnpike Ramp in New Hampshire

A wrong-way driver was killed when his pickup went off an on-ramp early Thursday morning.
New Hampshire State Police said Michael Riley, 55, of Sanbornville was driving a 2022 GMC Sierra 500 the wrong way on the ramp from Exit 18 (Route 125) to the northbound Spaulding Turnpike in Milton around 1:35 a.m.
He went off the roadway and down an embankment, coming to a stop approximately 300 feet in the woods away from he ramp. Riley was pronounced dead at the crash scene.
A medical episode may have been a contributing factor, according to State Police. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
