Seacoast Towns Offer Absentee Voting Due to Expected Snow
Several Seacoast towns are making town meeting absentee ballots available Monday because of Tuesday's snowstorm.
Heavy wet snow is expected to accumulate during the day Tuesday towards a final accumulation of 8-12 inches by Wednesday morning, creating poor travel conditions.
New Hampshire law allows for voting the day before an election if a winter storm warning, blizzard warning, or ice storm warning is in effect. The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for all day Tuesday.
In-person voting will still be available on Tuesday.
Among the towns offering absentee ballots:
- Barrington - The town clerk's office is open until 5 p.m.
