Stalled Train in Downtown Dover, NH, Creates Traffic Issues

A freight train stalled in Dover late Monday morning blocked two crossings.

The Pan Am Railways train broke down with mechanical issues, blocking the railroad crossings at Chestnut Street and Central Avenue around 11:30 a.m., according to Dover Police.

The closures are causing slow traffic around the immediate area as driver get caught in the delay or try to get around it.

Repairs are expected to be complete by 12:30 p.m..
