The Thunder over New Hampshire Air Show will return to the Pease Air National Guard Base in 2023.

40,000 fans went to the first day of the free show in September, which took place on a near-perfect day, to watch the thunderbirds perform and view the vintage planes. The show also included a 9/11 tribute on the 20th anniversary of the terrorist attacks in New York, Washington, and Pennsylvania.

"Get ready for vintage aircraft in the air and on the ground, alongside the future of aviation in the United States and on the Seacoast," read a post on the 157th Air Refueling Wing's Facebook page. The show is scheduled for September 9-10, 2023.

The show will be part of the many events being held to celebrate Portsmouth's 400th anniversary.

Tickets are not yet available, and a schedule has not been posted. Anyone interested in volunteering can sign up now on the air show's website.
