The body of a Raymond man was found in the Merrimack River in Methuen on Sunday afternoon.

Essex County District Attorney Paul F. Tucker said the body of Ryan Cooper, 31, was found near the Methuen Riverside Boat Ramp on Riverside Drive around 12:45 p.m. Tucker did not disclose the circumstances of why Cooper was in the river, but foul play is not suspected.

Methuen Police and the Massachusetts State Police Dive Team helped recover Cooper's body from the river.

A body was found Sunday near the Abe Bashara Boathouse along the Merrimack River in Lawrence on Monday, according to a report by WCVB TV.
