Hospital Security Worker Dies After Being Assaulted In Rochester
A hospital security worker from Farmington died as the result of injuries after allegedly being assaulted by a New Durham man at Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester, according to police.
Tyler Thurston, 29, of New Durham, was arrested on December 13 for allegedly striking and seriously injuring a security worker at the hospital, police said. Thurston allegedly punched the worker in the head, causing him to fall to the ground where his head struck the pavement.
The hospital security worker, identified as Richard Semo, 64, of Farmington, was found unresponsive before being transported to Portsmouth Regional Hospital, police said, adding that Semo died as a result of his injuries on Friday. An autopsy was scheduled for Sunday.
Thurston was arraigned at Strafford County Superior Court on December 14 and remains held on bail at Strafford County Jail, police said.
