Get your taste buds ready for some really southern BBQ because MrSippy BBQ has opened on South Main Street in Rochester, New Hampshire, according to local sources.

Rochester is my adopted hometown and I love to see the renaissance of the Main Street area.  Businesses are coming back. New restaurants are opening, and the town is feeling alive again.

What Type of BBQ is MrSippy BBQ

The owner of MrSippy BBQ is Cecil Abels III.  He describes his menu as a blend of styles “including Mississippi, Caroliner, Memphis… with a touch of Texas and Alabama as well.  MrSippy BBQ was born out of a love of food, fire, music, and having a good time with friends and family.  Rochester has a lot of potential and the city staff is doing a lot to help businesses.”

I need some BBQ

I will definitely be checking this place out since it's right down the street from my apartment.  MrSippy BBQ will be open Tuesday – Saturday from 11 am – 7 pm.

You can check out their website at mrsippybbq.com if you need more info.  Their menu will include hickory-smoked pulled pork, pulled chicken brisket, and even smoked tofu!  My vegan daughter will be pleased.

A real southern BBQ place is just what Rochester downtown needs.  They will also have a nice supply of wine and local drafts if you need to wash your meal down with something tasty.  I can’t wait to see the side dishes.
