One person was killed in a violent crash Thursday night in Chester.

Chester Police said they received a call about a crash on Towle Road around 10:20 p.m. after the vehicle hit a rock wall and slammed into a tree. A witness told police the driver, identified as Kevin O'Leary, 52, of Sandown, was partially hanging out of the vehicle.

A good Samaritan who stopped to administer CPR removed him from the vehicle and told police O'Leary was not conscious or breathing. Police and first responders arrived and pronounced O'Leary dead from injuries sustained in the crash.

Speed was likely a factor in the crash, according to police.

WMUR earlier reported the vehicle hit a rock wall and slammed into a tree.

Witnesses to the crash are asked by police to call 603-887-2080.
