UPDATE: Man Missing in Portsmouth, NH, Located
UPDATE: Portsmouth Police and New Hampshire State Police said Jonathan Leach has been found safe and getting medical attention. No other details were disclosed.
A Silver Alert was issued Tuesday afternoon for a man with dementia who walked away from an assisted living facility in Portsmouth.
Portsmouth Police and New Hampshire State Police said Jonathan Leach, 61, left the facility on Pleasant Street around 11 a.m. He is considered to be a vulnerable adult, according to police.
Leach was wearing a navy t-shirt, gray shorts, and carrying a blue/tan tote bag when he was last seen. He is 6 feet and 150 pounds with brown hair, brown eyes, and unshaven.
Anyone with information about Leach's whereabouts is asked to call Portsmouth Police at 603-427-1500.
This is the second Silver Alert issued within the past seven days in the Seacoast region.
John Matson, who also suffers from dementia, was last seen Wednesday in Hampstead at the Xtra Mart on Emerson Avenue after leaving his Amy Lane home in the afternoon.
Police have ended their formal searches for Matson, but asked residents to continue checking structures on their property and security footage for any sign of him.
Hampstead Police Chief Robert Kelley asked anyone with information about Matson's whereabouts to call Hampstead Police at 603-329-5700.
