This report was updated with additional information from Newmarket Police
A Dodge Caravan minivan drove into the front of a Newmarket house Saturday night.
Newmarket Fire & Rescue said the vehicle went into the lower level of the two-story house on Wadleigh Falls Road (Route 152) around 8:45 p.m. No one inside the two-story house at the time was injured. Everyone was able to safely make it out of the house.
A mother and her young child were asleep at the time of impact on the second floor, according to Newmarket Police. They are staying with family until the home is deemed habitable.
The driver of the minivan, Thomas Ridlon, 74, of Durham, was taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries. He was charged with DUI-impairment and open container.
Pictures of the incident show that the minivan entered the house to the left of the front door and took out a window.
Kruczek's Garage pulled the minivan out of the house and onto a flatbed.
