One More Day of Summer Sizzle on the Seacoast

Thursday will be the last day of the Seacoast's latest heat wave as temperatures feel like 100 degrees before a cool down for the weekend.

Plus the sky will have a smokey quality as the jet stream steers smoke from still burning Canadian wildfires towards New England.

A heat advisory is in effect for Thursday until 8 p.m. in anticipation of a cold front pushing through with some showers & thunderstorms along with gusty winds.  Friday will be kind of a transitional day with high temperatures in the lower 80s under sunny skies with much cooler temperatures on Saturday and Sunday with a high only around 70 both days.

The cold front will also again push out smokey skies from the 115 wildfires still burning in the Canadian province of Manitoba. Recent rains there have helped extinguish some of the fires which have been burning since April, according to the Manitoba Wildfire Service.

The city of Dover has issued a heat advisory. Cooling centers will be open.
