Person Drowns in Somersworth, New Hampshire, Pond

A person was found drowned in a Somersworth pond Tuesday evening.

First responders found a body in the northern end of Willand Pond after being called around 6:45 p.m. The body was recovered and taken for an autopsy. The identity of the individual found in the water was not disclosed pending notification of family, according to police.

Police said there was no threat of danger to the public and asked anyone with information about ths incident to contact them at 603-692-3131.
