Pro Portsmouth Announces First Night Logo Design Contest

Pro Portsmouth has announced its annual First Night logo design contest for this year's event.

Seacoast artists can submit their design for the event to ring out the old year and welcome the new.  There will be ice sculptures and a fireworks display, and the winner's design will be featured on all First Night Portsmouth 2024 merchandise, social media, website, and other material used to promote the event. The artist also receives prizes of $300.

"Once again, the organization looks forward to working with the artistic community in creating this year’s First Night logo," Pro Portsmouth Executive Director Barbara Massar said in a statement.

There are no requirements for what to include in the logo. Massar suggests the Pro Portsmouth standard of "arts, culture, history, community," and the use of the Seacoast region and Christmas holiday season as possible themes to incorporate in the logo design.

All medias can be used in creating a logo, but the design needs to be scannable and 8.5" by 11" in order to be used.

The deadline to enter is October 25.
