The 46th annual Market Square Day Festival and Road Race is two months away, and your design could be the event's logo.

Over 60,000 people are expected to converge in downtown Portsmouth and take in the crafters, local businesses, food vendors, and entertainers who will be set up on Saturday, June 10. Market Square Day will happen a week after the Portsmouth 400 Grand Parade.

Pro Portsmouth, the event's organizer, is again issuing their "Call to Logo Artists" of the Seacoast to come up with a design that will be featured on all merchandise and marketing for the event.

The design should include the text "Market Square Day 2023" as well as “A Pro Portsmouth Event" or "Produced by Pro Portsmouth", and tie into the city of Portsmouth's 400th anniversary.

"This year, Pro Portsmouth has dedicated its event logos to the celebration of City’s 400th anniversary, so the inclusion of historic imagery is important," Pro Portmouth executive director Barbara M. Massar said.

The key for artists is to create an image that can be scanned into a computer. It should be one dimensional, measure 8.5” x 11", and include up to six colors. Complete guidelines can be found here.

The deadline for entries is Friday, April 28.
