An overwhelming demand slowed down servers for those trying to get the first round of parking passes forth the Thunder Over New Hampshire air show Saturday morning.

Insights members received an email just before 8 a.m. with a special link giving them the first chance to get free parking passes and premium packages for the show on Saturday, September 9, and Sunday, September 10 at the Pease Air National Guard Base.

"We apologize for any issues you may be experiencing. Due to high demand, the server capacity is facing a challenge, so it may take a bit to get through. We are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible," read a message on the show's Facebook page posted at 8:25 a.m. "Thank you for your patience and for supporting the show!"

The Air Show's organizer also sent an apology via email to Insights members anticipating a lighter demand later in the morning.

Some who got through reported getting a confirmation email for their pass, but the link to view tickets did not work.

"If you were able to purchase a ticket and/or reserve a parking pass, please wait until later today to download it in order to ease demand on the server at this time," the email read.

The website was operating normally by approximately 10:45 a.m.

The link in the email is valid until Tuesday at 8 a.m., when passes will be available to non-Insights members.

Tickets are not required to view the show, but a parking pass is needed to park on the base.

Special packages are also available for purchase for premium box seats, which include a reserved seat and folding chair, a tented area called the Wildcat Club, and the Peagusus Club, with a premium boxed lunch as seating at tables along the flight line.

A limited number of premium parking close to the show line is also available.

The F-16 Viper Demo Team out of Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina was announced as the headliner in December. They will be joined by the New Hampshire Air National Guard KC-46A and the New Hampshire Army Guard UH-60 Blackhawk.

Air National Guards from around New England, including the F-35A Lightning IIs from the Vermont Air National Guard Base and the F-15s from Barnes Air National Guard Base in Massachusetts, will also be at the show.

Nashua's Rob Holland, Kent Pietsch, and US Special Operations Command Para Commandos round out the other announced performers.
