Man Indicted for Sexually Assaulting a Child in Somersworth, NH

A man who allegedly touched an 11-year-old girl inappropriately is facing two charges of aggravated felonious sexual assault and a charge of felonious sexual assault.

Prosecutors say that Michael Totten, 25, who has no known last address, touched the girl between April 1 and June 30 in 2019. The girl is now 13.

Totten faces enhanced penalties for his actions and could be sentenced to 10 to 30 years for each offense if convicted.

A grand jury at Strafford County Superior Court in Dover indicted Totten on June 17. He is scheduled to be arraigned on July 22.
